Right at the tail end of 2023, Netflix notched one more huge hit original series with the young adult romantic dramedy series My Life with the Walter Boys. Released on Dec. 7, the teen drama ended the year on a high note for Netflix, as the streamer picked up the new fan-favorite for a second season less than two weeks after the show's premiere. That's such a huge sign of support from the streaming service, especially as it continues to bulk up its teen slate alongside Ginny & Georgia and XO, Kitty.

Based on the book of the same name by Ali Novak, My Life with the Walter Boys centers on a teen girl from New York City, who moves to rural Colorado after the tragic deaths of her parents and sister. Jackie moves in with her mother's friend, who shares seven sons with her husband — the titular Walter boys. While getting her bearings in her new life, Jackie soon finds herself in a love triangle with brothers Cole and Alex. Oh, the intrigue!

Not to continue the popular comparisons to Amazon's page-to-screen teen drama series The Summer I Turned Pretty, but fans of the current leading teen drama of the moment will definitely adore My Life with the Walter Boys, which also boasts a bit of Heartland flair, too. Before season 2 (hopefully) returns sometime in 2024 with more drama, it's time to dive into the show and love triangle everyone can't get enough of. There's so much more to come in season 2!
