Sweet Magnolias was one of the biggest new Netflix shows of 2020 when its premiere that May shot the guilty pleasure series straight to the peak of the top 10. It came back for its second season on Feb. 4, 2022.

Based on the series of novels by Chesapeake Shores author Sherryl Woods, Sweet Magnolias centers on three lifelong best friends Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott), and Helen (Heather Headley) as they take on all things life, love, family, and career in their small South Carolina town of Serenity.

Sweet Magnolias season 2 picked right back up where we left off in season 1 with the truly jaw-dropping cliffhanger. The new season answered many of our lingering questions and delved deeper into the characters we fell in love with in the first season.
