If you’re a fan of romance movies, you’d better add Lady Chatterley’s Lover to the top of your watch list.

The 2022 film is based on the beloved novel of the same name by D. H. Lawrence, and marks the fifth movie adaptation of the classic story. It takes place in 1920s England, following a woman named Connie (Emma Corrin). After getting married and settling into adulthood, Connie thinks her life will be perfect. But sadly, an injury in World War I leaves her husband Clifford (Matthew Duckett) paralyzed from the waist down, and their marriage falls apart.

Connie then starts an affair with the gamekeeper Oliver (Jack O’Connell), and unexpectedly falls in love. Lady Chatterley’s Lover chronicles their complicated romance and is truly a case of when love conquers all.

The film was received well by critics, with an 86% on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of this writing. Fair warning before you watch, though, if you have kids at home — Lady Chatterley’s Lover is rated R and there’s a lot of nudity.
