No, Bridgerton season 3 actually isn’t coming in December 2023

Despite rumors that suggested Bridgerton season 3 would arrive in December, it seems fans are going to be waiting until 2024 for the next season of Netflix’s hit drama.

This summer during its TUDUM Global Event, Netflix offered up the first look at season 3 of Bridgerton with the release of a series of new photos featuring Colin and Penelope. The photos were absolutely stunning and left fans even more excited for the new season, but that was just the start of the event’s excitement!

Shortly after the photos dropped, it looked like a release date for season 3 had been leaked by an international Netflix platform when the Netflix Portugal account tweeted out the photos with a caption that teased that season 3 of Bridgerton would premiere on December 14, 2023:

Unfortunately, the leaked release date from the Netflix Portugal account has proven to be incorrect as Bridgerton won’t be returning with a new season this December. The show was not on the December release list and it seems we’re going to have to wait until 2024 for the new episodes to finally arrive.

Bridgerton season 3 release date predictions

While we won’t be getting a new season of Bridgerton in December, it looks like we should be getting the new season sometime in early 2024.

"“It’s very gratifying because we’ve held our breath for a long time. Because of the way the year’s panned out and that the season’s going to come out next year, the anticipation is going to grow and grow,” Lady Danbury actress Adjoa Andoh told Hello! during an October interview."

So when might season 3 arrive? Although Netflix hasn’t teased the timing for the next season, it seems incredibly likely that the third season of Bridgerton will be released sometime in late March 2024.

Bridgerton season 2 was released on March 25, 2022, so we imagine Netflix might look to follow a similar release approach with season 3. If Netflix chooses to release season 3 in March, we could see the new episodes arrive on or around Thursday, March 21, 2024. A spring release date would make sense and would give Netflix a major release to end the first quarter of the year and also kick off the second quarter of the year.
