Wahoo! Meet the cast of The Super Mario Bros. Movie (coming to Netflix Dec. 3)

Great news! The Super Mario Bros. Movie is officially making its way to Netflix. Mark you calendars for Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023. The popular animated film might be catered more towards kids, but I can personally tell you that I really recommend watching it even if you’re older. There’s fun adventures and so many callbacks to the games.

Played by Chris Pratt, in this story Mario is a regular Italian-American plumber from Brooklyn, New York who’s accidentally transported to the Mushroom Kingdom to save his brother, Luigi.

Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach

The fearless ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom is Princess Peach, voiced by Anya Taylor-Joy. She helps Mario train and get ready to fight Bowser and find his brother.

Where have you seen her before? Gina Gray in seasons 5 and 6 of Peaky Blinders,  Emma Woodhouse in Emma, Beth Harmon in Netflix miniseries The Queen’s Gambit, and Margot/Erin in The Menu.

Charlie Day as Luigi

Luigi, played by Charlie Day, is Mario’s younger brother who’s also a plumber. When they accidentally get to Mushroom Kingdom, he’s captured by Bowser.

Jack Black as Bowser

The iconic Jack Black is Bowser himself, the villain of the story. He wants to rule the Mushroom Kingdom by marrying Princess Peach. But he’ll have to face one ordinary hero to do so.
