Wish is the latest animated movie to hit theaters, and it’s a must-watch for the whole family. Where will you be able to stream it online? Will Wish come to Netflix?
We have all made wishes on stars, even if we don’t remember doing it. After all, as children, we tend to believe in miracles and magic, and that leads to so many children wishing on a shooting star.
In the latest animated family movie, we see Young Asha make a wish that’s so powerful that she’s visited by Star, a little but powerful ball of energy. Star and Asha work together to protect the kingdom from King Magnifico. They also need to prove that when humans connect with the stars, some wonderful things can happen.
Where to watch Disney’s Wish
You’ll want to head out to theaters to watch this movie beginning on Nov. 22. It’s a huge step in the right direction for inclusivity, with a Latina main character to offer something for young children to aspire to be. It’s important to make it clear that we need more movies just like this.
Of course, then you’ll want to watch the movie at home, so you need to know where to stream it. The bad news is that it is not coming to Netflix.
This is a Disney movie, so there is only one place for it to head for streaming. Wish is only coming to Disney+. This doesn’t mean that it will never come to Netflix in the future, but there’s no need for Disney to share its content.
You will also be able to buy or rent the movie on Digital. This will make it available on Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, Google Play, and more.
Who stars in the animated movie?
Ariana DeBose from West Side Story and Hamilton will voice the lead character, Asha. She is joined by Chris Pine as the villainous King Magnifico. Another familiar voice to listen out for is Alan Tudyk as Valentino.
