It’s officially out! Blue Eye Samurai is finally streaming on Netflix, and this is definitely a show you don’t want to miss.

It’s a visually stunning adult animated series created by husband and wife duo Michael Green and
Amber Noizumi. It tells a tale of revenge. Set in Japan’s Edo period, the story follows a mixed-race swordmaster living life in disguise while on a quest for vengeance.

In 17th century Japan, the borders were closed to foreigners, meaning the Japanese would never see any other race besides themselves. Well, except in rare cases of illegal trade. Mizu, a young mixed-race samurai, knows that there were only four White men in Japan at the time of her birth, and she’s determined to take every last one of them down. Why? Well, she believes that one of them is her father, and they’re the reason why she’s been an outcast all her life.

While watching the show, you might recognize some of the voices of the characters while others you may not. No worries! We shared who voices who right below.

It was very important to the creators that the show was cast authentically. So, the majority of the voice cast is made up of actors of Asian heritage.
