Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and the best animated movies on Netflix in November 2023

November is quickly approaching, and we’ve taken a peek at Netflix’s upcoming new releases coming that month. There’s a lot of great content coming out, but what we’re most excited to see is all the new animated movies on Netflix.

The first movie at the top of our list to watch is definitely Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Then, we’ll make our way through all the other animated films. It’s going to be a great month!

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Release date: Oct. 31, 2023

I know you’re probably wondering why we put Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on the list if it comes out in October instead of November. Well, it comes out on the last day of October so it’s super close to November and it’s easily the best animated film on Netflix in both months.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a superhero film that’s a sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. It’s based on the Marvel Comics characters of the same name and follows Miles Morales as he reunites with Gwen Stacy and then finds himself traveling across the Multiverse where he meets various versions of Spider-People who are charged with protecting it. But when a new threat arrives, Miles and the other Spider-People find themselves clashing on how to handle it, which leaves Miles having to redefine what it means to be a hero.

Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld return from the first film to voice their respective characters, Miles Morales/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen. Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Vélez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, and others also voice characters in the movie.

Leo

Release date: Nov. 21, 2023

The perfect film to watch on family movie night would have to be Leo. It’s an upcoming animated musical comedy about a 74-year-old class pet lizard named Leo who decides to escape from his elementary school terrarium with his turtle friend after living there for decades. With only a year left to live, he’s on a mission to experience life on the outside. But he finds his plan disrupted by the students of his classroom and a mean substitute teacher.

Adam Sandler voices the protagonist, Leo. The rest of the voice cast includes Bill Burr, Cecily Strong, Jason Alexander, Sunny Sandler, Sadie Sandler, Rob Schneider, and many others.

The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday

Release date: Nov. 30, 2023

The Bad Guys are back! The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday is a 30-minute animated film based on the hit 2022 movie The Bad Guys. It’s a prequel to the original film, and it’s Christmas-themed.

It follows Mr. Wolf and his gang of animal outlaws as they work together to try to rekindle the city’s Christmas spirit so that they can keep their annual holiday heist afloat. The voice cast includes Michael Godere, Ezekiel Ajeigbe, Raul Ceballos, Chris Diamantopoulos, Mallory Low, and others.

Resident Evil: Death Island

Release date: Nov. 9, 2023

A Sony film set to be released on Netflix in November is Resident Evil: Death Island. It’s the fourth movie in the animated Resident Evil film series, and it follows Agent Chris Redfield and his team as they travel to Alcatraz Island to investigate a new T-virus outbreak.

Nicole Tompkins (Jill Valentine), Kevin Dorman (Chris Redfield), Matthew Mercer (Leon S. Kennedy), Stephanie Panisello (Claire Redfield), Erin Cahill (Rebecca Chambers), and many others voice characters in the film.
