Is Scavengers Reign on Netflix? (where to watch the sci-fi animated series)

If you’re a fan of adult animation, you’ll be happy to know that there’s a new one out that everyone’s raving about. It’s called Scavengers Reign, and we strongly recommend checking it out.

It’s a sci-fi adventure series created and executive-produced by Joseph Bennett and Charles Huettner. It’s loosely based on their 2016 animated short film Scavengers, and follows the surviving crew members of a damaged interstellar freighter ship.

Now stranded on an alien planet, the remaining crew must trek through the strange world to find their downed ship and missing crew members. But hopefully, they can survive long enough to escape or be rescued from the hostile planet.

The main voice cast members include Wunmi Mosaku, Bob Stephenson, Sunita Mani, Ted Travelstead, and Alia Shawkat.

Wunmi voices the role of Azi in the animated series. She’s a Nigerian-born English actress who is best known for starring as Ruby Baptiste in the short-lived HBO series Lovecraft Country. She’s also known for her roles in other TV shows like Moses Jones, Vera, Luther and Loki. In addition, she played the role of Gloria Taylor in the drama film Damilola, Our Loved Boy, and Rial in the horror film His House. She’s also pictured above.

Bob voices the role of Sam in Scavengers Reign. He’s best known for his role as Sheriff Jimmy Taylor in the TV series Jericho. He went on to take on roles in movies and shows such as The Forgotten, Our Idiot Brother, Hick, Vice etc.

Sunita voices Ursula in the animated show. You might’ve watched her in the shows GLOW, Mr. Robot, No Activity, Dream Corp LLC and Servant. She also had roles in the movies Wine Country, Save Yourselves!, Evil Eye, Spirited and You Hurt My Feelings.

Ted voices the role of Kamen. He’s known for his previous roles in Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice, Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell and Clara’s Ghost. Additionally, Alia voices the role of Levi. You might’ve watched her in the TV shows The Old Man, State of Grace, Arrested Development and Search Party.

Guest stars include Pollyanna McIntosh, Dash Williams, Freddy Rodriguez, Sepideh Moafi, and Skyler Gisondo.

Where to watch Scavengers Reign

There’s only one place where you can watch this animated series, and it’s not Netflix. It’s available to watch on Max, formerly HBO Max. As of Oct. 20, the first three episodes are available to stream, followed by three new episodes being released weekly through Nov. 9. However, it’s important that we mention that in order to gain access to the episodes, you’ll need to have a subscription to the streaming service.
