Big Mouth is easily one of the best adult animated series on Netflix. I mean, look at how many seasons the show consists of. The first season premiered in September 2017 and was an instant hit. It continued to see much success over the years and has now made it to a seventh season.

Created by Andrew Goldberg, Nick Kroll, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett, Big Mouth follows a group of teens as they navigate the awkwardness of adolescence and puberty.

Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, Jason Mantzoukas, Jenny Slate, Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph, Jordan Peele, Ayo Edebiri, and many others voice the colorful characters in the series.

Big Mouth season 7 release time on Netflix

Get ready because Big Mouth season 7 is scheduled to be released on Netflix on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. Of course, we couldn’t forget about our Midwest folks. If you’re in the Central time zone, you’re looking at a release time of 2:00 a.m. CT on Oct. 20.

These are the usual times that Netflix drops its series and movies on its platform. It’s a super early release, so get whatever you need to keep you wide awake. Also, make sure to set your alarm because you don’t want to miss the new season when it drops!

What is the seventh season about?

Big Mouth season 7 sees best friends Nick Birch and Andrew Glouberman and other teens get ready to take on high school. The season begins with the teens finishing up their last year of middle school at Bridgeton Middle School before moving on to a new school. But of course, a new school means there will be new challenges they have to face in the next chapter of teendom.

Here’s the official synopsis via Netflix:

"Season seven of Big Mouth follows the now teenage students of Bridgeton middle school as they make their way to high school. Change is the only constant as each character is faced with a new school, new friends, new adversaries, and new Hormone Monsters."

Big Mouth season 7 episode count

Like the previous season, the seventh season consists of 10 episodes. Although we don’t know the exact runtime for each episode, we’re most likely looking at episodes that are a little under 30 minutes long. This is what it’s been for previous seasons.

Is Big Mouth season 7 the final season?

Fortunately, we won’t be saying goodbye to the comedy series this season. However, Nick and Andrew and all the other teens’ stories will be coming to an end in the upcoming Big Mouth season 8. Back in April 2023, Netflix announced that it was renewing the show for an eighth and final season. Although this is sad news, we can’t wait to see how everything wraps up.
