Meet the star-studded cast of Silver Linings Playbook

The romantic comedy film Silver Linings Playbook is finally streaming on Netflix, and many people are looking forward to either watching this movie for the first time or re-watching it to see all the best moments.

Based on the 2008 novel The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick, with David O. Russell as writer and director, the movie centers around a former teacher who moves back in with his parents after losing his wife and job and spending time in a mental hospital. Now, he’s ready to rebuild his life and win back his estranged wife. But things get complicated when he meets and falls in love with a mysterious young widow who has problems of her own.

Bradley Cooper stars in the leading role as Patrizio “Pat” Solitano Jr., a former teacher who has bipolar disorder. After being released from a mental institution after an eight-month court-ordered stint, Pat makes it his mission to win back his ex-wife and start over with a clean slate.

Cooper has been nominated for various prestigious accolades over his acting career such as Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and a Tony Award. In addition, he has won two Grammy Awards for his work in the musical film A Star Is Born.

Some of his other work includes roles in the movies The Hangover film series, Limitless, The Place Beyond the Pines, American Hustle, American Sniper, Guardians of the Galaxy, The A-Team, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Maestro.

Cooper was previously in a relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk from 2015 to 2019. They share a daughter together named Lea de Seine. As of October 2023, Cooper is believed to be dating model Gigi Hadid.

Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence stars opposite Cooper in the role of Tiffany Maxwell, a widow who offers to help Pat win back his ex-wife only if he’ll do something for her in return.

Lawrence has been acting for quite some time so she has many acting credits to her name. You might’ve watched her in movies such as Winter’s Bone, the X-Men film series, The Hunger Games film series, American Hustle, Joy, Don’t Look Up, Causeway and No Hard Feelings.

She is currently married to an art gallery director named Cooke Maroney. They share a son together named Cy.
