Bridgerton is arguably one of the best Netflix original series. In fact, it’s one of the streamer’s biggest shows. The first season premiered on Netflix on Dec. 25, 2020, and was an instant hit. Then, the second season was released on March 25, 2022, and was an even bigger hit. Before the second season had premiered, it was given a two-season renewal. This means we can expect at least two more Bridgerton family members’ love stories to be told.

Bridgerton season 3 will focus on the love story between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington. We had thought the third season would center on Benedict Bridgerton since his story was told in the third book of Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton book series. However, the creative team decided not to follow the original book order for season 3, but instead skip to book 4, which tells Colin’s story.

Production on Bridgerton season 3 began on July 20, 2022, and was initially expected to wrap sometime in December 2022. However, filming is believed to have wrapped in mid-March 2023.

Now that we’re nearing the end of 2023, we’re wondering when the third season will come out. Our best release prediction for now is by the end of fall 2023. But who knows, maybe the third season will receive a Christmas Day release. There’s even a rumor going around that the third season will be released on Dec. 14, but this hasn’t been confirmed by Netflix.

A more recent release rumor comes from a Bridgerton cast member Adjoa Andoh. During an interview with Hello! Magazine, Adjoa revealed that the third season would be coming out sometime in 2024. But again, this hasn’t been confirmed by Netflix. So for right now, it’s just a release rumor.
