Updates: Outer Banks season 3 arrived on Netflix on Feb. 23. The teen series has also been renewed for a fourth season. 

Outer Banks fans, are you here? During Netflix’s TUDUM, the streamer dropped the first teaser for the upcoming third season. And that’s not all! In the teaser, a 2023 release was confirmed. Sadly, an official release date wasn’t announced, but we’re expecting an early 2023 release. Maybe sometime in January or February. It could also come out during the springtime like season 1. However, we doubt the third season will come out any later than the summer.

There’s a possibility that Outer Banks season 3 will be released on Feb. 23, 2023, according to Madelyn Cline. However, it’s important to mention that Netflix has not confirmed this date.

Outer Banks season 2 ends with the Pogues stranded on a deserted island after losing the Cross of Santo Domingo to the Camerons. Meanwhile, in the Outer Banks, the Pogues are presumed to be dead. But the last couple of minutes of the season 2 finale is when things get really interesting. John B’s dad is revealed to be alive!

We can’t wait to see how the story will continue in Outer Banks season 3. After looking at the teaser, it looks like the Pogues will try to make a home on the deserted island, but we all know this won’t last for long. They will somehow make their way back to the Outer Banks. And we can definitely expect to see them entangled in more drama with Ward and Rafe. It will also be interesting to see how the reunion between John B and Big John will go if they do reunite in the third season. Lastly, how will the new cast members play a part in the story?
