Outer Banks season 3 cast adds three new supporting characters (you’ll be surprised)

Get ready to jump for joy, Outer Banks fans. Netflix just announced three new supporting characters who will be in the highly anticipated Outer Banks season 3! We shared all the juicy deets about the new cast members and the characters they play right below.

Now that we’ve officially entered summer, fans of the hit Netflix original series have been wondering when the third installment will land on Netflix. Since the second season came out during the summer and the show gives off summer vibes, many people expect Outer Banks season 3 to arrive on Netflix sometime this summer.

Sadly, we will not be seeing a new season of Outer Banks this summer because production on season 3 is expected to run through to August. Once filming wraps, we can expect at least three months of post-production, which could put the third season’s release sometime in November at the earliest.

This might be discouraging news, but at least we have new information regarding the Outer Banks season 3 cast. Below, you’ll find out the new cast additions and their character names and descriptions.

Outer Banks season 3 cast

On June 23, Netflix announced that Andy McQueen, Fiona Palomo, and Lou Ferrigno Jr. had joined the season 3 cast. You might know McQueen from his roles in Station Eleven, Fahrenheit 451, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and The Handmaid’s Tale. Palomo is best known for her roles in Netflix’s Control Z and La Negociadora. Lastly, you might recognize Lou Ferrigno Jr. from his roles in Stargirl and 9-1-1.

Here’s who each new cast member will play in Outer Banks season 3 below:

• Andy McQueen will play the role of Carlos Singh, a merciless Caribbean leader on his own mission to track down gold.
• Fiona Palomo will portray Sofia, a young, scrappy woman who identifies as a Pogue but wishes to be a Kook. She will form a close relationship with Rafe (Drew Starkey).
• Lou Ferrigno Jr. will play Ryan, Carlos’s top security officer. He knows how to get the job done and tries his hardest not to fail.

Of course, you can expect the return of most of the cast from season 2, including Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Jonathan Daviss, Madison Bailey, Rudy Pankow, Carlacia Grant, Austin North, Drew Starkey and Charles Esten. We’ll also likely see the return of many supporting cast members from previous seasons.
