Hubie Halloween

If horror, gore, and mystery aren’t your favorites, but you’re still trying to get into the Halloween mood this week, Hubie Halloween is the movie for you! Starring comedian Adam Sandler, the family-friendly flick follows an outcast named Hubie Dubois living in Salem, Massachusetts. Sadly, Hubie is picked on by other people in the town and doesn’t really have any friends.

Despite this, Hubie is a big fan of Halloween and takes it upon himself to play the role of “Halloween Helper” for the town, keeping a close watch on the streets to make sure everyone’s being safe, and nothing bad happens. Various tricks are played on him throughout the movie as people continue to not take him seriously. But in the end, it seems the town really needs Hubie after all.

Is Hubie Halloween an acclaimed film that scooped up big awards when it premiered on Netflix in 2020? Definitely not. But is it a fun, easy watch that’ll make you laugh? Yes, it is! And sometimes, that’s all we’re looking for. The film is dedicated to the late actor Cameron Boyce, who was signed on to play a role before his death in 2019.
