Nowhere movie cast: Who stars in the Spanish Netflix movie?

We love a good thriller flick, and we love it even more if it has a unique plot and a talented cast. Nowhere is that type of movie. It’s a new thriller film on Netflix, and it’s one of the top movies on the streaming platform at the moment.

We’re in no way surprised that this movie is being watched by tons of people. The movie’s plot alone will be enough to make you want to watch it. Then, once you find out who stars in the leading roles, you’ll want to see it for yourself right away.

Nowhere plot

Nowhere is a Spanish Netflix original movie based on a story by Indiana Lista. He, along with Ernest Riera, Miguel Ruz, Seanne Winslow, and Teresa Rosendoy, wrote the screenplay with Albert Pintó as director.

The film follows Mia, a young pregnant woman who attempts to flee a totalitarian Spain with her husband Nico by hiding in a shipping container only to be forcibly separated from him before the container can be sailed out to sea. Stressed about her current situation, things take a turn for the worse for Mia when a violent storm knocks the shipping container she’s in off a ship into the ocean. Now, she must fend for herself as she fights to save her daughter’s life and reunite with her loving partner, Nico.

Amazingly talented Spanish actress Anna Castillo stars as Mia in the popular thriller film. She was born in Barcelona, Spain on Oct. 9, 1993, making her 29 years old and her zodiac sign Libra. She’s best known for her role as Dorita in the Spanish soap opera Amar es para siempre. But she became even more known when she took on the role of Alma in the Spanish drama film El Olivo. In fact, she won the Goya Award for Best New Actress for her role in the movie.

Some of her other roles were in the movies and TV shows Holy Camp!, Estoy vivo, Arde Madrid and Girasoles silvestres. Her most recent role was playing the main character, Margot, in the Netflix miniseries A Perfect Story. You can find her on Instagram @nanitita.

Tamar Novas portrays the role of Nico, Mia’s husband. He’s from Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain, and was born on Oct. 3, 1986, making him 36 years old and his zodiac sign Libra.

He made his film debut at a young age in the Spanish movie Butterfly’s Tongue. He then went on to take on the role of Javi in the Spanish psychological drama film The Sea Inside, ultimately winning the Goya Award for Best New Actor for his performance. You might also recognize him from his role as Andrés in the Netflix film Elisa y Marcela and his role as Sebastián in the Netflix series Alta mar.

He’s currently in a long-term relationship with Spanish actress Belén Cuesta. They reportedly met on the set of filming the Spanish television series Bandolera. You can find Novas on Instagram @tamarnovas.

If you were hoping to watch this movie with kids around, we suggest not doing so. It’s rated TV-MA, meaning it’s meant to be watched by mature, adult audiences only. It was given this maturity rating for disturbing images, strong language, nudity, and graphic violence. I doubt you want your kids to be watching content like this, so we suggest watching this when the kids are asleep or occupied with a kids’ movie or show.
