Roald Dahl’s The Rat Catcher tells the story of a local rat catcher who is hired by the town to eradicate the pests that are driving the town insane. The rat catcher is a peculiar man who looks much like the prey he hunts, and he feels a kindred spirit with the rats he kills because he thinks they are clever prey.

He is portrayed by Ralph Fiennes, who is best known for playing Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter, M. Gustave in The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Chef Slowik in The Menu.

Claud, a neighboring mechanic whose property has fallen victim to the relentless rat rampage, is the individual who first reaches out to The Rat Catcher for help.

He is portrayed by Rupert Friend, who is best known for playing Agent 47 in Hitman: Agent 47, Vasily in The Death of Stalin, and Mr. Wickham in Pride and Prejudice.
