Sometimes you’re just not in the mood to watch the newest popular shows on every streaming service. There’s so much to catch up on and keep up with that more often than not, it’s much easier to travel back in time for a nostalgic watch. Thankfully, Netflix boasts plenty of Nickelodeon shows from past and present, ready to for us to relive our childhoods.

In the past couple years, the streaming service has been amazing at acquiring the shows we want to watch, and their additions have brought so many Nickelodeon shows back into the pop culture conversation as new generations discover titles like Kenan & Kel and Zoey 101. When Victorious arrived on Netflix, the fan-favorite musical comedy had a whole rebirth.

If you’re looking for the perfect Nickelodeon shows to add to your watch list, we’re highlighting five of the must-watch titles on Netflix (before they leave the streamer!) and offering a list of every Nick show and movie currently streaming on Netflix as of Oct. 1, 2023.

Drake & Josh

The latest 2000s Nickelodeon show added to Netflix, Drake & Josh hit the streamer at the top of October with its first three seasons. In the series, Drake Bell and Josh Peck play the titular chaotic stepbrothers, and a  pre-iCarly Miranda Cosgrove stirs the pot as their little sister Megan. It’s by far one of the funniest and zaniest sitcoms to ever air on Nick.

One of the best and maybe most underrated episodes of Drake & Josh is definitely the season 4 episode “Tree House,” which finds the brother’s burning down and rebuilding their neighbor’s treehouse. When they forget to cut a door into the last wall, they’re trapped inside the treehouse, and Megan sabotages them by making sure they stay locked inside. Classic!

Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide

Middle school can be difficult time, and no one knew that more than Ned Bigby. Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide stars Devon Werkheiser, Lindsey Shaw, and Daniel Curtis Lee as a tight-knit trio attempting to make it through seventh and eighth grade unscathed. The series ran three season and 54 total hilarious and relatable episodes. In 2023, the trio reunited for the PodCo podcast Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide looking back at the show and their experiences.

Victorious

What happens when you put a bunch of talented young people together in a musical comedy series? Victorious happens! After appearing in Nick shows like Zoey 101, iCarly, and True Jackson, VP, Victoria Justice led her own eponymous series, which premiered in 2010 and ran through 2013. Leon Thomas III, Matt Bennett, Elizabeth Gillies, Ariana Grande, Avan Jogia, and Daniella Monet also starred in the excellent ensemble cast.

When Victorious was added to Netflix in November 2019, the beloved series enjoyed a huge resurgence in popularity, even resulting in chatter about the cast reuniting for a revival. While that didn’t ultimately happen, we all had a blast reliving series and watching Victoria, Ariana, Liz, and the whole cast do what they do best. Unfortunately, the two available seasons will be removed from Netflix on Oct. 31, so watch the series on Netflix while you can!

Kenan & Kel

Probably the best Nickelodeon throwback of them all, Kenan & Kel is a true time capsule for ’90s kids. The sitcom premiered on Nick in 1996 and ended after four seasons in 2001. Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell’s on-screen friendships in Good Burger, All That, and their eponymous sitcom were the foundation of a whole generation’s sense of humor, so much so that we’ll never view orange soda the same way again or not randomly quote “Who put the screw in the tuna?!”

Rugrats

There are so many iconic animated series from the ’90s-era Nickelodeon, but a personal favorite of mine and always a first choice is none other than Rugrats. The larger-than-life cartoon centered on the secret and imaginative lives of babies, led by the fearless leader Tommy Pickles. Currently, Netflix has two seasons of the generational favorite available to stream, and it might be one of the best-kept secrets on the streaming service. Don’t wait to get your nostalgia fix!
