We’ve got good news for fans of Netflix’s many dating reality shows! The streaming service has officially renewed the Emmy-winning series Love on the Spectrum US for a second season. The US version of the series, which premiered in May 2022, went on to win three Emmys, even beating Netflix’s own Selling Sunset for the award.

Within days of its premiere, the show quickly topped Netflix’s top 10 charts and was highly-discussed on social media. Before the American version of the show premiered, it was first released in Australia, where the original version has two seasons and nine episodes.

Given how popular the Australian version became, it makes sense why Netflix decided to launch one in America. They’ve done that with some of their other popular dating shows like The Ultimatum, Love Is Blind, and Too Hot to Handle.

For those unfamiliar, the Love on the Spectrum franchise showcases people on the autism spectrum navigating the complex world of relationships and the always-evolving realm of dating. The first installment contains six entertaining entries that fans will not want to miss.

Out of all the dating programs available on the streaming service, this romance reality series is truly something special, and it makes sense that people want to see more!

We don’t yet know if the show has started filming for its second season, as Netflix hasn’t revealed any new information on the sophomore season.

Love on the Spectrum US season 2 release predictions

The original Love on the Spectrum US series first premiered in November 2019, and the second arrived in May 2021. The first run of the U.S. version came out in May 2022, which, if one had to guess, would probably mean that if another outing is to occur, it’s wise to assume that Love on the Spectrum US season 2 could be out around sometime in the Summer of 2024.

That is, if it follows the same timetable as its Australian counterpart. Since the series is unscripted and a reality show, it shouldn’t have been impacted by the strikes in Hollywood. It could still be on track for a summer 2024 release date, but we’ll keep you posted!
