It’s time to celebrate because Sex Education season 4 is finally here! After such a long wait, fans can finally feast their eyes on this unique show once more, and by the sounds of it, not a single person was left un-amazed by this new season as it featured some intriguing new plot points, some new villains and, of course, a long list of new students who we already love.

Cal Bowman was introduced in the third season and fans fell in love with them, but now in the fourth season, they have an even bigger storyline. Without giving spoilers away, Cal is going through a lot, pretty much on their own, which culminates into a major plot point for their classmates at Cavendish College. Remember, Moordale shuts down at the end of season 3, so the fourth season takes place at a brand-new school. With that comes complications for all of the characters, but fortunately, Cal is able to make friends.

Cal is Sex Education‘s first non-binary character. To see non-binary individuals represented on the show is extremely refreshing, and it’s just as refreshing to know that the actor behind the role seems to be just as amazing as Cal in real life. They were born in Kassala, Sudan, and relocated to the United States at a young age, where they began pursuing a career in poetry writing and music. As reported by PopBuzz, Saleh studied topics like gender and sexuality studies and sociology while attending Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Perhaps we’ll see more of Saleh in other series and films, but until then, definitely check out their music.
