It’s time to reunite with Otis, Eric, and Maeve once more because Sex Education season 4 has arrived on Netflix! Sadly, it marks the final installment of the popular dramedy, but we can assure you that the new episodes make the perfect send-off to such a great series. The quirky British show follows Otis, an awkward teen who starts a sex therapy clinic with his classmate Maeve, and it doesn’t take long for feelings to begin forming between the two.

Sex Education does a great job of shedding light on uncomfortable issues both teenagers and adults face as they navigate friendships, romance, and sex. The final season sees Otis and Maeve try long distance after Maeve moves to America, and it, unsurprisingly, isn’t easy.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Sex Education season 4.

The new season of Sex Education is easily the darkest installment of the Netflix series yet, as it features characters going through a lot of trauma. For Maeve, sadly, her mom passes away after a drug overdose. This forces Maeve to come back to England, where she and her brother Sean plan a funeral together. On the day, however, Sean is nowhere to be found, causing even more stress for Maeve as he could be off getting high.

While getting ready, Maeve asks Otis to go find Sean, and he and Eric are off to try and figure out where he is. They go to Sean’s friend’s house, a guy called Dodgy Mo, who doesn’t seem to know where Sean is. If you’re watching this episode and think the man looks familiar, you probably know him from one of the most popular shows of all time… Game of Thrones!

Jack Gleeson makes surprise cameo in Sex Education season 4

That’s right — Jack Gleeson, who played Joffrey Baratheon in the first four seasons of Game of Thrones, appears in Sex Education season 4! He doesn’t have a big part, but he plays Sean’s friend Dodgy Mo, who shows up in just two episodes of the new season. He serves as comedic relief, coming off a bit sloppy and strange. Netflix had not previously announced that the actor would have a part in Sex Education season 4, so it’s a pretty funny surprise cameo.

Gleeson, 31, is an Irish actor who began acting as a child, notably appearing in the movie Batman Begins in 2005. But of course, he was really catapulted to fame when the first season of Game of Thrones premiered in 2011, and his portrayal of the villainous king is unforgettable.

Like previous seasons, Sex Education season 4 seamlessly blends together comedy and drama so well. I swear, I would be laughing one minute and then crying the next when watching these new episodes! Be sure to watch the conclusion to the beloved series right now on Netflix.
