After the closure of Moordale Secondary School, Otis, Eric, and the rest of Moordale’s former students are forced to attend a new school called Cavendish Sixth Form College for the new term. However, Cavendish is very different from Moordale, and Otis and Co initially have a hard time fitting in at the progressive school. Elsewhere, Maeve studies at Wallace University, an Ivy League college in the U.S.

English actor Asa Butterfield returns as the protagonist, Otis Milburn. The rest of the cast is made up of Gillian Anderson (Jean), Ncuti Gatwa (Eric), Emma Mackey (Maeve), Connor Swindells (Adam), Kedar Williams-Stirling (Jackson), Alistair Petrie (Michael Groff), Mimi Keene (Ruby), Aimee Lou Wood (Aimee), and many others.

Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach, while Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A-Level and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him. Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy.
