Choose Love synopsis: What is Choose Love about?

Mark your calendars for Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023! That’s when Choose Love starring Laura Marano makes its debut on the streamer. If you don’t know what to expect, then you’re probably asking what is Choose Love about?

Marano is best known for her role as Ally Dawson in Disney Channel’s Austin & Ally. In 2022, the actress also appeared in another Netflix rom-com, The Royal Treatment, opposite Mena Massoud. That film gave us all the feels, and we’re sure this new romantic comedy will as well!

Joining Marano onscreen are Scott Michael Foster, Avan Jogia, Jordi Webber, and Megan Smart. So what can you expect to see in the movie? What’s the story all about? We’ve got the answer for you below!

Choose Love synopsis: What is Choose Love about?

Choose Love is an interactive film that follows Marano’s character Cami Conway. As Cami faces multiple choices in the movie, viewers at home actually get to make some of those decisions for her. As you watch, you pick what comes next for the characters, which will of course affect the ending. So not everyone will get the same conclusion to the story.

As Cami is reflecting on her life and perhaps not completely satisfied with where she is right now, including her career choice, there are three possible men who might be “the one” for her as well. Those are her boyfriend Paul (Foster), British rockstar Rex (Jogia) really is, or her first love Jack (Webber). We shared the full synopsis provided by Netflix below:

"Cami Conway has it all. She’s got the job she wants (recording engineer) and is headed towards engagement, marriage and kids with her wonderful boyfriend, Paul (Scott Michael Foster). And yet. She feels something is missing. Is it just FOMO and the fear of commitment that goes with it? Or is she actually missing out on an even better career, perhaps the long abandoned singing career she once dreamed of? And is Paul the love of her life? What if it’s Rex Galier (Avan Jogia), the sexy British rock star, who walks into her studio and becomes irrepressibly smitten? Or could it be Jack Menna (Jordi Webber), her first love, “the one that got away”, the idealistic world traveler, who returns home and is ready to rekindle their youthful passion? Cami faces a kaleidoscope of tempting but tough choices: from serious ethical dilemmas to the frivolous “Truth or Dare.” What she chooses depends wholly on you, the viewer. But be careful! Things don’t always play out like you think!"
