This weekend, sit back and relax with some outstanding new releases in Netflix shows. This week, the streamer had a fantastic list of new releases, including the Dwayne Johnson-led HBO series Ballers and the animated Netflix original My Dad the Bounty Hunter.
This week’s top Netflix shows include Painkiller starring Matthew Broderick, the second season of The Lincoln Lawyer, the reality series Down For Love, and the newest season of Sweet Magnolias.

SKIP! The Chinese youth drama When I Fly Towards You is another story of a group of high school students experiencing love, friendships, and growing up. While the story is heartwarming, it’s been done before. Don’t count this out completely; put it in the queue for a rainy day, but you can skip it this weekend.

WATCH! Ballers is the HBO series starring Dwyane Johnson as a retired NFL player turned financial manager. All five seasons are currently streaming and follow Johnson’s Spencer Strasmore as he navigates his new career mentoring former and current NFL players on the business side of football.
At Home with the Furys season 1
SKIP! The documentary At Home with the Furys looks into the life and career of Tyson Fury, an undefeated heavyweight boxer. This series is the same as every other “at home” that tries to make the rich and famous resemble a regular family. Fans of Tyson’s will likely enjoy this look into his life, but everyone else can skip it.
The Chosen One season 1
WATCH! The Chosen One is a fascinating story of a 12-year-old boy who discovers he has Jesus-like powers after surviving a freak accident. Based on the comic by Mark Millar and Peter Gross, the third of Millar’s comics to be adapted by Netflix, this supernatural series watches as events unfold and the truth is revealed. Is he a savior or a false prophet?
