Will Imogen and Sahar get together in Heartstopper season 3?

Although we absolutely love watching Charlie and Nick’s love story unfold in Heartstopper, we also love watching how the side characters’ stories play out. For example, in Heartstopper season 2, we finally see more of Imogen Heaney and her story. And based on how things end for Imogen in the second season, it looks like her love life might get a tad bit more interesting in the upcoming Heartstopper season 3.

If you’ve watched the second season in its entirety, you’d already know what we mean by her love life becoming interesting next season. Imogen starts the second season on a high because she’s moved on from her crush on Nick and now likes someone else. Unfortunately, the person ends up being Ben Hope. Yes, the same Ben Hope who mistreated Charlie. He and Imogen get together this season, but as one would expect, they don’t last long.

After they break up, Imogen spends the rest of the season single, hanging out with Charlie, Nick, and their friend group. But we find out something surprising about Imogen during Tara’s birthday party. During a game of truth or dare, it’s revealed that she used to be friends with Sahar Zahid. According to Sahar, their friendship ended when Imogen got a boyfriend and stopped texting her.

If you needed a little rundown on Sahar, she’s a new character introduced this season. She’s a year 11 student at Higgs, and she’s bisexual. Apparently, Imogen had no idea that Sahar was bisexual when they were friends. Although nothing romantically happens between Imogen and Sahar in the second season, there’s a scene in the season 2 finale that leads us to believe that something may happen in a future season. Will Imogen and Sahar become a couple in Heartstopper season 3? Here’s what we know.

Will Imogen and Sahar get together in Heartstopper season 3?

Your guess is as good as mine. If you’re wondering what scene we’re talking about, it’s the scene where Sahar is performing at the year 11 prom, and Imogen stares at her with what looks like a loving gaze. This scene wouldn’t be necessary unless it were a way of setting up a future storyline for Imogen and Sahar. So it looks like the show’s creator Alice Oseman purposely included this scene in the teen series.

Although Imogen has stated she’s an ally in a previous season, meaning she’s not part of the LGBTQ+ community, we might see her explore her sexuality in Heartstopper season 3. However, this doesn’t mean that she and Sahar will get together. Sahar could just be the first girl who made her realize she likes girls, and she could help her process everything since Sahar has already been through that phase.

But there’s also the possibility of Imogen realizing that she liked Sahar all along, but pushed her away because she was scared of liking a girl. If the third season were to go this route, Imogen and Sahar would most likely get together.

We don’t know for sure what will happen between Imogen and Sahar in Heartstopper season 3, but we’re excited nonetheless.
