Who is Kit Connor dating? The Heartstopper star’s relationship status

Since Heartstopper first premiered on Netflix in April 2022, its young cast has shot to instant fame, especially the show’s pair of leads Joe Locke and Kit Connor. Thanks to their heartfelt portrayals of the show’s teens, fans have flocked to the stars, shooting their social media followings into the millions.

In the series, Kit Connor plays Nick Nelson, a rugby player learning more about himself and his sexuality as he pursues a crush on his classmate Charlie Spring (Locke). Connor was also connected to his costar Maia Reficco, who he stars with in the upcoming movie A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow, after they were pictured holding hands. Those rumors have never been confirmed or materialized in anything more than just that — rumors.

In fact, these rumors caused internet trolls to force the then 18-year-old actor to come out as bisexual after allegations of “queerbaiting” were thrown his way for potentially dating a woman when he plays a bisexual teen on Heartstopper. Connor received an outpouring of support from his Heartstopper family following the incident, and he’s since deleted his Twitter account.
