Human Resources

Update: The second and final season of Human Resources landed on Netflix on June 9.

On April 24, Netflix announced the renewals of Big Mouth and its spinoff Human Resources. This means we would be seeing a Big Mouth season 8 and a Human Resources season 2 in the future. However, the streaming giant also revealed that these would be the final seasons of each show. While we weren’t necessarily surprised that Big Mouth would be ending with its eighth season, we couldn’t say the same about Human Resources. It’s rare when Netflix shows end after only two seasons.

Unfortunately, Netflix didn’t reveal why the spinoff series would be ending with its second season, but we’re just glad we get to see a series conclusion. While we don’t have a release date yet, Netflix did reveal that Human Resources season 2 will be released “in the coming months.” So, it looks like we’re looking at a summer 2023 release.

Human Resources was created by Kelly Galuska, Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett. It follows the daily lives of Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards, and other creatures as they juggle romance, workplace drama, and their human adult needs.

Besides Kroll, Maya Rudolph, Aidy Bryant, Randall Park, Keke Palmer, David Thewlis, Brandon Kyle Goodman, and others voice characters in the series. According to Netflix, the new characters from Human Resources will appear in the final season of Big Mouth, which is confirmed to be coming out in 2024.
