Quarterback season 1: Is Kirk Cousins a Christian?

Since entering the league in 2012, Kirk Cousins has showcased his exceptional arm talent and ability to lead his team.

Initially serving as a backup, he flourished when given the opportunity to start. His tenure with the Washington Commanders saw him establish himself as a reliable quarterback, throwing for impressive yardage and touchdowns. In 2018, Cousins transitioned to the Minnesota Vikings, where he continued to excel.

Known for his precision passing and remarkable decision-making, Cousins has consistently ranked among the league’s top quarterbacks. While playoff success has eluded him thus far, his poise and determination make him a force to be reckoned with. Just last season, Cousins led the Vikings to an NFC North title and led the team to the playoffs.

This is something that we see unfold over the course of the eight-episode first season of Netflix’s new series Quarterback, which takes audiences beyond the gridiron and into the lives of three of the league’s elite quarterbacks.

Is Kirk Cousins a Christian?

Across the first season of the Netflix original series Quarterback, we watch as Cousins goes through the ups and downs of the season, including the Viking’s devastating playoff loss to the New York Giants. Through the highs and lows, Cousins alludes to his faith so it’s likely no surprise to learn that Kirk Cousins is a proud Christian and speaks about his faith openly in many forums.

In the show, Cousins mentions his faith on a number of occasions including in the final episode of the season at which time he accepted the Bart Starr award at the end of the season. During his speech, openly discussed his faith and the importance of his relationship with Christ in his life.
