65 was written, directed, and produced by filmmaking duo Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. Beck and Woods are known for their previous work on the films A Quiet Place, Nightlight and Haunt. Additionally, Sam Raimi, Deborah Liebling, and Zainab Azizi signed on as producers.
It follows a pilot named Mills who accidentally crash lands back on Earth during prehistoric times, where the population is dinosaurs. Stranded with only one chance at rescue, he and the only other survivor, a young girl named Koa, team up and must hike their way across the unknown landscape while fighting off dangerous prehistoric creatures.
Besides Driver, the cast is made up of Ariana Greenblatt, Chloe Coleman, and Nika King.
65 filming locations
Principal photography is believed to have taken place from Dec. 7, 2020, to Feb. 21, 2021, in various locations in the U.S. and Ireland.
Production took place in Lousiana in areas such as Kisatchie National Forest, Second Line Stages, Covington, Louisiana, New Orleans, Lousiana, and New Sarpy, Louisiana.
The cast and crew also shot the film in different places in Oregon, like Coos Bay, Meyer’s Creek Beach in Gold Beach, Oregon, Agness, Whaleshead Beach in Brookings, Oregon, and Elk Creek Falls. Filming also occurred at Sony Pictures Studios in California and Ardmore Studios in Ireland. According to IMDb, the movie was also shot in Wicklow County, Ireland, and Bray, Ireland.
