Are Billy and Lilly the Ghost Bandits in The Out-Laws?
Yes! Parker’s parents, Billy and Lilly McDermott, are the Ghost Bandits. The Ghost Bandits are the most notorious bank robbers in American history, and they arrive in town for their daughter’s wedding. They had been on the run from Rehan, their former partner in crime, after they decided to secretly part ways and run away with five million dollars. But after Owen unknowingly reveals Billy and Lilly’s location to Rehan, Rehan finds them and kidnaps Parker. She holds Parker hostage until they bring her five million dollars.
The Out-Laws: Do Owen and his in-laws get the money and save Parker from Rehan?
Yes, Owen, Billy, and Lilly rescue Parker from Rehan. They first attempt to rob a bank called Victory Union to get the five million dollars. They manage to transport the money into an armored cash transport truck, but as they try to get away from the police in the truck, Owen runs a red light and a car hits them, knocking the money out of the truck. As they continue to escape from the police, more and more money flies out of the vehicle. When they finally get rid of the cops, they realize all the money is gone. So, they attempt to rob a second bank, Atlas Reserve.
To make sure that the plan goes smoothly, they involve Owen’s family in the second bank robbery. While Billy and Lilly hold the customers hostage in the bank, Owen talks to his bank manager rival Phoebe King. He convinces her to show him the bank’s vault and locks himself in. He puts all the money in a bag, exits out a back door, and jumps into the escape vehicle driven by his cousin RJ.
Owen arrives at the meet-up spot to hand over the money to Rehan for Parker, but Rehan deceives him and tells him she’s going to kill them both. Owen pulls out his gun and aims it at Rehan and her men, but then he sees water on it and thinks it’s a water gun. As he inspects the gun, he accidentally pulls the trigger shooting one of Rehan’s men. This causes Rehan’s other minion to start shooting at Owen, but he accidentally shoots Rehan instead, and Owen ends up shooting and killing him. With Rehan and her men dead, Owen saves Parker and they get married soon after.
