3 best Netflix shows to watch (and 2 to skip) this weekend, July 7

The world is experiencing significantly high temperatures this summer, so it’s probably best to stay inside and enjoy some terrific Netflix shows. The streamer has a great list of new releases this week, including part 1 of The Lincoln Lawyer’s latest season. Below are three recommendations of great shows to watch this weekend and two you can skip.

The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 part 1

WATCH! The first segment of season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer is now available to stream. LA’s hottest defense attorney, Mickey Haller, is back. This season is based on the fourth novel of The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Fifth Witness, by Michael Connelly. After winning a major case in season 1, Mickey is in demand as a lawyer and now has his choice of high-profile cases. The second part of season 2 will release on Aug. 3.

Back to 15 season 2

SKIP! Season 2 of the Brazilian series Back to 15 follows Anita, an adult who travels back in time to when she is 15 to fix her sister’s life. This season things become more complicated when Joel travels back as well. The second season isn’t as good as the first, and things seem rushed. You can skip this one this week.

WATCH! Who doesn’t love a good hack? The new home renovation series Hack My Home focuses on homes that need to be reinvented to create more space. The homeowners aren’t willing to move or spend a ton of money on renovations but desperately need innovative ideas to maximize their space. You won’t believe some of these space-saving hacks.

The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch season 2

SKIP! The reality series The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch tells of a 500-acre ranch in Utah where many paranormal and UFO-related activities have been reported. The series follows investigators and skeptics who have researched the reports. While strange things have certainly occurred on the ranch, no concrete evidence has been released to support extraterrestrial activity. You can skip this one unless you are a die-hard UFO enthusiast.

Catching Killers Season 3

WATCH! Season 3 of Catching Killers has four more episodes, this time focusing on The Railroad Killer, New York Zodiac Killer, The Olympic Park Bomber, and The DC Sniper. The true crime series features the stories of the investigators of these horrific serial killer cases. The investigators reveal harrowing and chilling details of their experiences investigating these killers.
