Jeremy Allen White first came to prominence in the American remake of the British series Shameless. The dysfunctional family dramedy ran for 11 seasons on Showtime before ending in 2021. White starred as oldest Gallagher son Lip for 134 episodes, but he now stars in the critically acclaimed Hulu comedy-drama The Bear, which earned him his first Golden Globe win.

After Shameless aired its series finale in April 2021, White nabbed the starring role in The Bear. The fan-favorite series premiered in June 2022, earning a quick renewal for a second season one month later. In the series, White plays fine dining chef Carmy Berzatto, who returns to Chicago to help run his late brother’s sandwich restaurant.

While fans can still catch all of White’s work as the lovable Lip in Shameless on Netflix, the second season of The Bear premiered on Hulu in June 2023. It’s all anyone is talking about leading up to Emmys season, and beyond the plot of season 2, viewers are wondering about Jeremy Allen White’s height and other details about the talented actor.

How tall is Jeremy Allen White?

The Shameless and The Bear star Jeremy Allen White stands at 5 feet 7 inches tall. He’s a few inches shorter than his on-screen brother Cameron Monaghan (6 feet tall) and his on-screen co-worker Ebon Moss-Bachrach (6 feet 1 inch tall). White is the same height as The Bear co-star Abby Elliott, but he’s a couple inches taller than Ayo Edebiri.

White was born in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up, on Feb. 27, 1991, making the actor 32 years old as of June 2023. He was married to actress Addison Timlin from October 2019 until their separation in May 2023. Together, the pair share two daughters who were born in 2018 and 2020.

Beyond his work on The Bear, White’s next roles will be in movies. He will appear in the Zac Efron and Lily James-led biographical sports film The Iron Claw from A24 and the science fiction romance film Fingernails for Apple TV+ alongside Jessie Buckley, Riz Ahmed, Luke Wilson, and Annie Murphy.
