Elite season 7 release date, cast, plot, and everything we know so far
Netflix announced the Elite season 7 release date and shared the first look at the new season at TUDUM 2023 earlier this year. The streamer also shared information on who’s back in the Elite season 7 cast!
In October 2022, Netflix announced that Elite season 7 was officially happening by dropping a short video of some of the new cast members. This announcement came ahead of the sixth season’s premiere on Nov. 18.
Elite is a popular teen series on Netflix, so it’s not surprising that it was handed a seventh season. The show was created by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona, and follows a group of students attending the fictional prestigious high school, Las Encinas.
What many people enjoy about the series is the exploration of many different concepts and themes. Then, there are the mysteries and the twists that keep you coming back for more. In fact, many people would describe Elite as a mixture of the TV shows Gossip Girl, Riverdale, and How to Get Away with Murder.
The cast has changed significantly over the seasons, especially with the sixth season. However, it looks like one of the original cast members will be making his return in Elite season 7. Continue reading to find out everything there is to know about the upcoming seventh season.

Elite season 7 cast
It’s been revealed that Omar Ayuso will be reprising his role as Omar Shanaa in Elite season 7. If you recall, Ayuso left the series after season 5, so we’re excited to see him return. Along with the return of Ayuso is in addition of seven new cast members.
We’re also expecting to see André Lamoglia (Iván), Valentina Zenere (Isadora), Adam Nourou (Bilal), Carmen Arrufat (Sara), Álex Pastrana (Raúl), Álvaro de Juana (Dídac), Ander Puig (Nico), Ana Bokesa (Rocío), and Nadia Al Saidi (Sonia) in Elite season 7. There have been photos of them on set for the seventh season.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Carla Díaz (Ari), Martina Caridd (Mencía), Manu Ríos (Patrick), and Diego Martín (Benjamín) will be coming back for season 7 based on how things left off with them in season 6. If you recall, the Blanco-Commerford family is shown moving far away from Las Encinas in the season 6 finale.
On Feb. 23, it was revealed that Argentine actor Leo Sbaraglia would be playing Isadora’s father in the seventh season. On March 9, Netflix announced that popular Brazilian singer, Anitta, had joined the cast for season 7. Apparently, she will play a “Girl from Rio.”

Elite season 7 plot: What could happen in the seventh season?
There are many ways the upcoming season could go. Of course, we can expect more drama and mystery. Actually, we have an idea of what could happen in the first episode of the season.
The sixth season ends with a mysterious person speeding past Las Encinas in a black SUV and shooting at students. In this scene, the characters present are Isadora, Dídac, and Dídac’s brother. We don’t see anyone get shot, but I’m sure one of the characters just mentioned will be injured in some way. Hopefully, no one dies, though. The first episode will likely deal with the aftermath of the shooting and finding out who was behind it.
Once we find out more details regarding the plot, we’ll be sure to share them with you right away.
Is Elite season 7 done filming?
Principal photography started in November 2022 and wrapped in March 2023. We had an inkling that production would take about four months, and it looks like we were right. The new episodes are currently being edited in post-production.
