What is Black Knight about?

Black Knight is a science fiction series set in the year 2071 in a dystopian future where air pollution has ravaged most of the Earth, leaving only a small population left. The Korean Peninsula has turned into a desert wasteland, and scarce resources have led to the division of the population with a cruel social hierarchy determining who gets access to these resources. Everyone is required to wear oxygen masks and must rely on an elite team of deliverymen called “knights” to survive. The knights deliver oxygen and other supplies to the survivors when needed.

One particular knight is 5-8. He’s the toughest and most admired deliveryman, and he’s on a mission to take down the Cheonmyeong Group, the crooked ruler of the devastated world. Ryu Seok is the heir to the Cheonmyeong Group, and he wants there to be a world without refugees. This is something he and 5-8 clash on. One day, 5-8 meets a high-spirited refugee named Sa-wol who dreams of one day being a knight. Even though they don’t initially get off on the right foot, 5-8 decides to train him to be a deliveryman.

Then, there’s Seol-ah, a military officer for the DIC who has a close bond with Sa-wol. She wants to do her job as a soldier, but she also wants to help the refugees. She also knows that the Cheonmyeong Group is hiding some dirty secrets, and she works to get to the bottom of them.
