The past couple of years have brought some of the best new Netflix shows to our watch lists, between new seasons of Bridgerton, Stranger Things, Virgin River, and other new hits like Wednesday, The Watcher, and The Night Agent.

Thankfully, 2023 kept that momentum going with some of the biggest shows on the streamer, and paved the way for 2024 to be even better. And looking ahead way into 2025, there's still so much to look forward to! While we have to play the waiting game for new seasons of our favorite shows, a handful of release dates have already started to excitedly fill out the 2024 calendar, including the feverishly awaited Bridgerton season 3.

But what else can we starting getting excited for in 2024? Netflix has confirmed a handful of new seasons are on the way this year, and there’s lots of other shows that we’re almost certain will be back before we know it. The latest update was made on Feb. 2, 2024.

Bridgerton season 3

It's been quite the test of patience, but Bridgerton season 3 will finally be released in 2024. The hit romantic drama series had been expected to return in December 2023, but the series ended up being delayed into 2024. However, no one could have expected just how far into 2024 the hands-down most highly anticipated upcoming Netflix release was delayed.

Rather than a Christmas release or announcement, Netflix went ahead and gave Bridgerton fans an early holiday present by announcing the season 3 release date on Dec. 12. At long last, Bridgerton season 3 will be released in two parts on May 16 and June 13, 2024. Yes, that's a super long wait, considering season 2 premiered with new episodes in March 2022. By the time we start watching season 3, over two years will have passed since our last binge-watch (if you don't count Queen Charlotte).

Of course, season 3 skips over the book order to tell the love story of Colin and Penelope, though most fans might not be complaining about that change. Colin and Penelope are definitely a fan-favorite couple among Bridgerton fans, so this season should be just as big or even bigger than the first two seasons in terms of viewership. We're so close to season 3!
