Who narrates Sweet Tooth?

Netflix’s hit fantasy series Sweet Tooth is finally back with its second season, and everyone’s watching and talking about it. A topic we keep seeing circulating on the internet involves the show’s narrator. People want to know who’s the person narrating the series. Fortunately, we know just who it is!

Sweet Tooth is a Netflix original developed by Jim Mickle. It’s based on the DC comic book of the same by Jeff Lemire and is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which most of the world’s human population has been wiped out by a virus. But somehow, it mysteriously leads to the birth of human-animal hybrid babies. The story centers around a young boy who’s part human and part deer as he embarks on a journey to find his mother with the help of a lone traveler.

Rising star Christian Convery plays the role of Gus, a half-human, half-deer, while Nonso Anozie portrays Tommy Jepperd, a traveler who reluctantly joins Gus on his search to find his mother. Besides Convery and Anozie, the amazingly talented cast is made up of Adeel Akhtar, Stefania LaVie Owen, Dania Ramirez, Aliza Vellani, Neil Sandilands, Naledi Murray, Amy Seimetz, Marlon Williams, and many others.

Who narrates Sweet Tooth?

Drum roll, please! The deep-voiced narrator is none other than Emmy Award-winning actor James Brolin. Brolin was born on July 18, 1940, in Los Angeles, California. He has been acting professionally since the ’60s and has won two Golden Globes and one Emmy.

You might recognize Brolin from his previous roles in Marcus Welby, M.D., Hotel, Life in Pieces, Skyjacked, Westworld, Traffic, Catch Me If You Can, Capricorn One, The Amityville Horror, Elsa & Fred, The 33, Sisters, Pensacola: Wings of Gold, The Reagans etc. Besides Sweet Tooth, his most recent role was voicing Zurg/Old Buzz in the animated film Lightyear.

Brolin has been married three times. In 1966, he married an aspiring actress named Jane Cameron Agee. Together, they had two kids, one being Academy nominee Josh Brolin. They ended up getting a divorce in 1984. In 1986, Brolin married actress Jan Smithers but they later divorced in 1995. Together, they had a daughter named Molly Elizabeth, born in 1987. As of April 2023, Brolin is currently married to Barbra Streisand. They got hitched in July 1998.
