John Wick: Chapter 4 isn't streaming on Netflix (Here's where to watch)

Who’s ready to go back to the action-filled, criminal underworld of the John Wick universe? We sure are! John Wick: Chapter 4 was released in theaters back in March 2023, but now viewers can watch the movie from the comfort of their own homes. However, you won't be able to watch it on Netflix because the streaming giant doesn't carry it. So, where exactly is this action flick available to stream?

John Wick: Chapter 4 is streaming on Starz

The action film was released on the Starz streaming service on Sept. 15, 2023. Its release on Starz made sense since it's a Lionsgate movie, and Lionsgate owns Starz. The film was originally slated for a Sept. 26 release on the streamer, but it ended up being released earlier, to everyone's surprise. Before being available for streaming, people were only able to watch John Wick: Chapter 4 by going to the theaters or purchasing it digitally.

In order to watch this movie on Starz, you'll need to have a Starz subscription. Unfortunately, Starz doesn't offer a free trial, but it does currently have a limited-time deal. For a limited time, a major $3.00/month ad-free streaming subscription deal is in effect for new subscribers. John Wick: Chapter 4 is believed to remain on Starz until its Pay 1 window ends sometime in March 2025, after which it is expected to move over to Peacock sometime in April or May 2025. Maybe someday in the future, the fourth film will make its way to Netflix. But that's not the case at the moment. We'll let you know if this ever happens.

What is John Wick: Chapter 4 about?

Here's the movie's official synopsis via Starz below:

"With the price on his head ever increasing, legendary hit man John Wick takes his fight against the High Table global as he seeks out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Japan to Berlin."

The highly-popular film franchise stars leading man Keanu Reeves as the titular character. The actor is joined by returning cast members Ian McShane and Laurence Fishburne. New cast members include Bill Skarsgård as Marquis, Rina Sawayama as Akira, Donnie Yen as Caine, Shamier Anderson as Tracker, Hiroyuki Sanada as Shimazu, Scott Adkins as Killa, and Clancy Brown as Harbinger.

Returning actor Lance Reddick, who plays Charon in the franchise, passed away suddenly on March 17, 2023. He was 60 years old, and his death was due to natural causes, according to AP News. A specific cause of death was not shared at the time, but it was later revealed that he passed away from heart disease.

Where to watch the first three John Wick movies

As of March 6, all three John Wick movies are available to stream on Netflix. However, they're all set to leave the streamer on Sunday, March 31, 2024. This means the last day you'll be able to watch them on Netflix is March 30. So, you might want to start watching them soon before their departure date. You can also rent or buy these films through Amazon Video, Apple TV, Google Play, Vudu, or the Microsoft Store.

Fortunately, the John Wick universe is growing with a spinoff film titled Ballerina in the works. It stars Ana de Armas as a young ballerina assassin who seeks revenge on those who murdered her family. Joining de Armas in the cast are Reeves, Reddick, Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, and others. It's set to be released in theaters on June 6, 2025, by Lionsgate.
