In January 2023, Netflix released its full list of Korean dramas slated to come out throughout the year, and I must say, it’s definitely a promising lineup. We’ve already seen the release of several new Korean dramas on Netflix in the past two months, and we can’t wait to see what’s next to come out.

Netflix has a great selection of Korean content on its platform, and I’m not just talking about scripted shows. There are tons of Korean movies of different genres, some documentaries, and even unscripted variety shows. Recently, we saw the release of Physical: 100, a competition reality program where contestants compete to win a cash prize and the title of “most perfect physique.” It was a huge success for the streaming giant, and there are still more reality shows about testing one’s endurance to look forward to this year.

Regarding Korean movies, we recently saw the release of Jung_E and Unlocked. Both films are entertaining and enjoyable, so we recommend adding them to your watchlist if you haven’t already. As of March 2023, only one Korean documentary has been released so far this year, and it’s called In the Name of God: A Holy Betrayal. Unfortunately, only one other Korean documentary will be released in 2023, and its working title is Yellow Door: Looking for Director Bong’s Unreleased Short Film.

Now, are you looking for something good to watch? If so, continue reading because we shared our list of the four best Korean dramas on Netflix to watch this month.

Best Korean dramas on Netflix to watch in March 2023

The Glory

You just had to know that I would include The Glory on the list. It’s the most popular Korean drama on Netflix at the moment. In fact, it’s one of the most viewed Netflix shows of all time. As of March 15, it’s currently sitting at the No. 3 spot on Netflix’s top 10 TV shows list, and it doesn’t look like it’ll be coming off any time soon.

It stars famous South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo as a woman seeking revenge on her childhood bullies to make them pay for their crimes. Lee Do-hyun, Lim Ji-yeon, Yeom Hye-ran, Park Sung-hoon, Jung Sung-il, and many others are also in the cast. If you’re looking for a show that’ll keep you thoroughly entertained, you should definitely check out The Glory because it’s full of unexpected plot twists and mystery.

Crash Course in Romance

Crash Course in Romance is another K-Drama we strongly recommend checking out on Netflix. New episodes were released weekly on the streamer until the season finale on March 5. Now, the complete first season is available to stream. There are 16 episodes in total with runtimes in the 60-70 minute range, so there’s plenty to watch and enjoy.

It’s a romantic comedy series that tells the complicated yet beautiful love story between a celebrity math instructor and a former national athlete. Jeon Do-yeon and Jung Kyung-ho star in the leading roles. Roh Yoon-seo, Oh Eui-shik, Lee Bong-ryun, Shin Jae-ha, Kim Da-huin, and others are also in the series cast. If you’re looking for something lighthearted, funny, and overall refreshing, Crash Course in Romance should be the next show you watch.

Unlock My Boss

Unlock My Boss was released on Netflix on March 6, and not many people know about it. It’s based on the webtoon of the same name by Park Seong-hyun and tells an interesting story.

It’s a comedy thriller about a CEO of a tech firm whose spirit gets sucked into his smartphone due to a suspicious incident. Luckily for the company president, a young man picks up the phone and teams up with him so that he can run his company and help find out who murdered him. But of course, the young man is only willing to help if there’s money involved. If the young man helps the CEO, he will receive 10 billion won ($7 million USD).

The main cast includes Chae Jong-hyeop, Seo Eun-soo, and Park Sung-woong. In addition, Lee Sang-hee, Kim Sung-oh, Jung Dong-hwan, Kim Byeong-chun, and many others are also in the series.

Divorce Attorney Shin

Divorce Attorney Shin is one of the newest Korean dramas to be released on Netflix recently. It premiered on March 4, with new episodes landing on the streamer every Saturday and Sunday.

Based on the webtoon of the same name by Kang Tae-kyung comes a story about a professor who after suffering a personal tragedy, decides to become a lawyer specializing in divorce litigation. Cho Seung-woo stars in the leading role of Shin Sung-han. You can also expect to see Han Hye-jin, Kim Sung-kyun, Jung Moon-sung, and many others in the show.

Since Divorce Attorney Shin is a courtroom television series, it’s not as lighthearted as most Korean dramas but still has comedic moments. I promise you’ll be hooked by the first episode. The cast gives outstanding performances, and the plot is interesting enough to keep you coming back for more. So check it out for yourself, and let us know what you think!
