According to Kreischer, he got the nickname “The Machine” when he was in college. While studying abroad in Russia, he became well known among Russian Mafia members who gave him the nickname. Kreischer didn’t really know how to speak Russian, so he said the only words he knew which were “I am the Machine.” The Russian Mafia members didn’t question what he meant by that and just went along with it. From then on, Kreischer was known as “The Machine.”
