Agent Elvis premieres on Netflix on March 17, and tons of people are looking forward to seeing if it’s any good. Since it’s an animated series, you might assume it’s kid-friendly. But is Agent Elvis really okay for kids? Can you watch this show with the entire family? Find out right below.

Agent Elvis is a new Netflix original series created by Priscilla Presley and John Eddie. Matthew McConaughey lends his voice to Elvis Presley. In addition, Priscilla voices herself. Kaitlin Olson, Johnny Knoxville, Niecy Nash, Tom Kenny, Don Cheadle, Ed Helms, Simon Pegg, Christina Hendricks, Jason Mantzoukas, Kieran Culkin, Tara Strong, and Chris Elliot also voice characters in the series.

Many of us know Elvis as the “King of Rock and Roll,” but in this brand-new series, we see a different type of Elvis. It follows Elvis as he joins a secret government spy program to take down the villains that threaten the country. It’s a unique plot, right?

So, is Agent Elvis appropriate for kids? Here’s what we know.

Is Agent Elvis kid-friendly?

No. This is not a show we recommend letting younger kids watch. Why? Well, it’s rated TV-MA, meaning it’s meant to be watched by mature audiences only. It was given this maturity rating for gore, strong language, nudity, smoking, and violence.

I don’t know if you’ve watched the trailer yet, but the clips shown are definitely not appropriate for younger kids to watch. The trailer includes scenes of a character’s face being lasered off, a character falling into a plane’s propellor and dying, a chimpanzee smoking and drinking alcohol, a plane being blown up, Elvis stabbing another character in the chest, and a character’s face on fire. There are also several clips showing characters using profanity and mentioning drugs. Overall, we suggest watching Agent Elvis when no kids are around.

Is Agent Elvis for adults?

Yes, this show is intended to be watched by adults. In fact, it’s labeled as an adult animated series. Actually, it might be okay for kids ages 17 and up, but we recommend checking it out first before letting older kids watch it.
