Vikings: Valhalla season 3

Vikings: Valhalla is one of the best historical dramas currently streaming on Netflix and there’s just no debating this!

Created by Jeb Stuart for Netflix comes a series set in the early 11th century, following the heroic adventures of famous Vikings, such as Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Hardrada, and the Norman King William the Conqueror. Additionally, it’s a follow-up to the History Channel’s smash hit Vikings. No, you do not need to have watched the original series to understand Vikings: Valhalla. However, we highly recommend watching it because it’s just as good.

Back in November 2019, Netflix announced it would be continuing the Vikings saga by picking up Vikings: Valhalla. The initial order was for 24 episodes, which many people were glad to find out. But when the first season dropped in February 2022, only eight episodes were included in the season. Of course, this confused viewers, but they weren’t that worried since they knew more episodes would be coming soon.

An eight-episode second season was finally dropped in January 2023, almost a year after the first season was released. As expected, tons of people tuned in to see how the story continues and they definitely weren’t disappointed with the plot for season 2. Now, everyone’s wondering when Vikings: Valhalla will return with its third season.

The bad news is that we won’t see Vikings: Valhalla season 3 in 2023. Initially, we thought we could see the third season by the end of the year, but Netflix confirmed that the new episodes won’t arrive until 2024. The streamer didn’t give a specific date in 2024, but we’re probably looking at a release early in the year. This is when new seasons of the historical drama are usually released.

You can count on us to share the official release date once Netflix announces it to the world. But keep in mind that it’ll most likely be a while before the streamer releases this information.
