Does Nadia die in You season 4 part 2? (Spoilers)

After what felt like the longest month ever, You season 4 part 2 has finally arrived on Netflix, and the final five episodes of Netflix’s psychological thriller definitely do not hold back!

The second part of the season offers up several shocking twists, picking right up where the show’s first part concluded. Just when you think one thing is going to happen, something entirely different occurs leading to a truly wild and crazy series of episodes. There are so many unexpected developments that come the way of the season’s key characters, including for Nadia who is thrust into a dangerous game of cat and mouse across the final episodes of the season.

Warning: You season 4 part 2 spoilers ahead

Across the first part of the season, we see Nadia growing more and more suspicious of her professor and those suspicions finally reach a tipping point in part 2. Right out of the gate in episode 6, we see Nadia beginning to suspect Joe and question whether he could perhaps be connected to the Eat the Rich murders.

With her suspicions growing, Nadia breaks into Joe’s apartment and begins searching his home which is when she stumbles upon a key within a hidden book. As Nadia is looking into Joe’s place, Eddie heads over to Dawn’s where he discovers a series of surveillance photos of Joe. These photos prove helpful in leading Nadia to an abandoned warehouse connected to the key from Joe’s place.

Upon entering the warehouse, Nadia is shocked to discover Marienne locked away in one of Joe’s glass cages. It’s at this moment that Nadia realizes her suspicions were correct and she realizes just how dangerous Joe is and develops a plan to help her escape.

What is Nadia and Marienne’s plan in You?

After Nadia stumbles upon the warehouse where Marienne is being held captive, she comes up with a plan to help her escape and kill Joe. When the plan to kill Joe does not work, they have to resort to Plan B which is incredibly complicated.

It all begins when Nadia replaces Beatrice’s number in Marienne’s phone with her own and sends a series of texts designed to make it look like Marienne is about to lose what is most important to her: Juliette, her daughter. Once they’ve convinced Joe that Marienne is going to lose her daughter and has nothing left to live for, it’s time for the next stage of their plan.

Nadia gets her hands on some beta blockers which she gives to Marienne so that she can fake her death. After Marienne takes the beta blockers, her heart slows to a rate that makes it look as though she’s taken her life using the pain meds Joe had previously left her with. After Joe discovers her “lifeless” body in the cage, he takes her to a bench outside which is when Nadia shows up to give her an injection that helps restore her heart to its normal rate.

With Joe under the assumption that she has died, Marienne is able to get safely out of town and back to Paris to her daughter without fear of Joe looking for her.

Does Joe kill Nadia in You season 4 part 2?

After Nadia helps Marienne escape, she’s eager to get to the bottom of things and prove Joe’s guilt. Knowing he’s likely to keep souvenirs from his victims, Nadia goes back to Joe’s flat which is where she discovers a box full of Rhys’ belongings. Upon telling Eddie about her discovery, he tells her to take pictures of everything inside and then leave the box before meeting her back at the car.

When Nadia gets to her car, she’s confronted by Joe who spotted her leaving his flat. She tries to spin up a story about meeting Eddie, which is when things quickly begin to unravel. Joe takes her phone and deletes all of the photos she took of Rhys’s belongings from the box in his flat. Having come into money now as Kate’s right-hand man, Joe basically says he can make this work for all of them hinting at a plan to buy her silence.

After a time jump, we flash back to Joe’s encounter with Nadia and discover he does not kill her, but he does end up ruining her life in a truly cruel and sinister way.

During the confrontation, Joe seems to not want to hurt Nadia and again stresses how he can use his new means to come to an agreement that will work for them all. As Nadia backs away in a panic she trips on the curb and discovered the body of Eddie on the ground behind his car.

Joe hands Nadia the knife he used to kill Eddie and tells her to tell the police all about him, that no one is going to believe her. He then tells her how there is going to be a box found in her place of Rhy Montrose’s things which will point the police in Eddie’s direction… which is why Nadia killed him. Leave it to Joe to always somehow be ten steps ahead of those around him.

After Joe fled the scene, Nadia was arrested and we learn she refused to speak in her own defense and still hasn’t spoken from prison.

With Nadia still alive and in prison for a crime she did not commit, the door has been left open for the character to return down the line and we definitely hope she gets the chance to return and get revenge against Joe.
