First up, the Netflix original sitcom The Ranch will be adored by fans of the Paramount series for obvious reasons: It’s about a family taking care of a ranch.

That ’70s Show alum Ashton Kutcher stars in The Ranch as former football player Colt Bennett, who returns to his family’s River Ranch in Colorado for the first time in 15 years. He then helps his father Beau (Sam Elliott) run the cattle ranch among other dysfunctional family activities. The series boasts eight parts that are 10 episodes each, resulting in 80 episodes of laughs.

Heartland

Seasons: 16 (14 on Netflix)

Cast: Amber Marshall, Michelle Morgan, Shaun Johnston, Chris Potter

Although you wouldn’t necessarily think to recommend a family comedy-drama series to a tried-and-true Dutton Ranch fan, you can’t deny that Heartland strikes some similarities. Both series take place on a family ranch and deals with the intricacies of families living and working close together and the ways relationships grow and evolve.

If you’re most interested in the darker tones of Yellowstone, you might not be the target audience for Heartland. But if you’re here for the drama and romance and ranch setting, get to binge-watching! The series has aired 16 seasons and almost 250 episodes, and 14 of those seasons are currently ready to be marathoned on Netflix.
