Netflix shows if you love Yellowstone: Ozark

Seasons: 4

Cast: Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Julia Garner, Jordana Spiro, Jason Butler Harner, Esai Morales, Peter Mullan, Lisa Emery, Charlie Tahan, Janet McTeer, Tom Pelphrey, Jessica Frances Dukes, Felix Solis, Damian Young, Alfonso Herrera, Adam Rothenberg

By now, if you have a Netflix account, you have more than likely already watched (or at least heard of) Ozark. The Emmy Award-winning drama series tracks the survival strategy of family man and financial advisor Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) as he moves his wife, daughter, and son to the Ozarks to lead a money laundering operation for a drug cartel. Of course, it’s not quite as simple as Marty would have imagined. There’s no easy “out.”

Ozark ran for four seasons, which makes up 44 total episodes, and snagged multiple award nominations and wins. Sure, it may be a bit darker than Yellowstone, but the thematic elements of family, power, greed, and other things that can create divisions. Even if you already binge-watched Ozark when it was still releasing new seasons, it’s never too soon to give the series a rewatch and see that polarizing series finale one more time.

Bloodline

Seasons: 3

Cast: Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, Norbert Leo Butz, Jacinda Barrett, Jamie McShane, Enrique Murciano, Sam Shepard, Sissy Spacek, Katie Finneran, John Leguizamo, Andrea Riseborough, Chloë Sevigny

Back in the humble beginnings of Netflix original series, when that wasn’t as clear of a concept as it is now, Bloodline was one of the streamer’s earliest dramas to connect with a wide audience. Of course, the series starred Friday Night Lights favorite Kyle Chandler, and there was no doubt his fans were going to tune in to see what the erstwhile Coach Taylor was up to next.

Bloodline premiered in March 2015 and lasted for three seasons, the first containing 13 episodes and the last 10 containing 10. The series takes place in Islamorada, Florida and begins as Danny Rayburn (Ben Mendelsohn) returns to his hometown and reunites with his family, prompting dark secrets to be unearthed. Trading a sprawling ranch for the Florida Keys, a great cast and a captivating story make Bloodline a must-watch series.
