Majid is one of several new characters introduced in Sex/Life season 2, which finally arrived on Netflix after more than a year between seasons. Played by Iranian actor Darius Homayoun, Majid is introduced as a new love interest for Billie (Sarah Shahi). He owns a restaurant in New York.

For those in need of a refresher, Sex/Life is a steamy romantic drama based on BB Easton’s book 44 Chapters About 4 Men. Created by Stacy Rukeyser, the series stars Shahi as a sexually frustrated housewife longing for wild-child days, further complicated by her reconnecting with her sexy ex-boyfriend Brad (Adam Demos).

The first season ended on quite the cliffhanger, and the introduction of Majid as a new love interest for Billie poses interesting questions about where her storyline will go this season. It also suggests that things between her and her husband Cooper (Mike Vogel) don’t work out.

How old is Darius Homayoun? Darius Homayoun’s age

Darius’s age is unknown, although FilmiFeed reports that he was born on January 28, 1993, which would make him 30. However, his current age is unverified. The Dubai-born actor of Iranian heritage has lived most of his life in the states and received his training in New York. He was previously enrolled in the training course at the NYC-based Terry Knickerbocker Studio.

Darius jumped at the opportunity to play a romantic lead in Sex/Life, but you might recognize him from other television series. He had a recurring role on the acclaimed HBO series Succession as Amir, and he also starred in the Apple TV+ series Tehran as Peyman Mohammadi. His previous credits also include the National Geographic miniseries The Long Road Home.

Interestingly, Darius says that the role of Majid was originally developed as a Mexican man, but once Darius was cast, the character evolved with him.
