Outer Banks season 3: Did you catch Armando Bacot’s cameo?

Now that Outer Banks season 3 is streaming on Netflix, many people have already finished the complete season or at least have made it halfway through. While watching the new season, you may or may not have recognized a familiar face in one of the episodes. We’re talking about college basketball player Armando Bacot. He makes a cameo this season and we weren’t expecting it all.

Outer Banks season 3 follows the Pogues as they go on yet another treasure hunt. Their hunt leads them to a faraway place called El Dorado, otherwise known as the lost city of gold. But like their previous treasure hunts, it’s not going to be easy because they’re not the only ones after the gold. A ruthless Caribbean Don by the name of Carlos Singh is after the bounty as well, and he will stop at nothing to find it, including murdering whoever gets in his way.

But there’s also another reason the Pogues want to go to El Dorado. Singh ends up taking Big John hostage and is on his way to South America to find the gold. So, John B and the rest of the Pogues must find them before something terrible happens to Big John. But the problem is that they need a way to get there. Luckily, JJ comes up with a plan and John B tags along. They meet up with a man named Mike, who JJ’s dad used to work for, and they ask for his help in getting them to South America in exchange for their service of helping unload drugs from a plane. This is when Armando Bacot makes his cameo.

Is Armando Bacot in Outer Banks season 3?

Yes, Armando Bacot appears briefly in episode 8 at the 14:30 mark and then at the 16:02 mark. When JJ and John B talk to Mike about working for him, Armando’s character walks through the door and looks intimidating but doesn’t say a word. The character’s name is unknown, but it’s obvious he works for Mike.

The next time Armando appears on-screen, he gets to say one line and it’s very short. While JJ and Mike talk privately outside, John B is left with Mike’s crew, including Armando’s character. John B asks Armando’s character what type of fish they catch, and Armando’s character replies by saying, “money.” Then JJ shows up and drags John B away. This is the last time we see Armando Bacot in Outer Banks.
