Where is Wheezie in Outer Banks season 3?

Outer Banks has finally returned to Netflix with a new season, and fans can catch up with all of their favorite (and least favorite, of course) characters. One of our favorites of the bunch has to be Sarah’s little sister Wheezie, the best Kook you will ever meet.

Nineteen-year-old actress Julia Antonelli plays Wheezie Cameron, the younger sister of Rafe and Sarah and the daughter of the worst Kook of them all, Ward Cameron. She’s about 13 or 14 years old in the series, a few years younger than 16-year-old Sarah.

Wheezie has appeared as a supporting character since the first season of Outer Banks. She’s mostly seen onscreen reading in her bedroom or giving Rafe a run for his money with her precocious mind. It’s no surprise that she and Sarah are the closest of the Cameron family.

But will fans get a chance to catch up with Wheezie in the sure-to-be high octane Outer Banks season 3? There’s a lot of ground for the season to cover, and hopefully, Wheezie’s whereabouts are among the things to be revealed. Here’s your spoiler-free answer.

Is Wheezie in Outer Banks season 3?

Without giving away any plot-specific details, Wheezie is alive and well in Outer Banks season 3. Julia Antonelli does appear as the youngest Cameron sibling in the new season, but not as often as we’re used to. Wheezie just doesn’t have as big of a part to play in the story this time around.

In Outer Banks season 2, Wheezie appeared in multiple episodes and had a much bigger role in the central storyline. She helped the Pogues find the Cross of Santo Domingo, by pointing out that the Island Room was important. Where would they have been without Wheezie?

Since Antonelli isn’t a series regular on Outer Banks, Wheezie shouldn’t be expected to appear in every episode if she isn’t integral to the storyline. Likewise, Antonelli might have had other projects lined up that interfered with her appearing, such as the film Beau Is Afraid.
