Netflix is adding 14 new movies and shows this week (Feb. 18, 2023)

February may feel like it’s lasting forever but we are at a new week and with that comes a bunch of new movies and shows to Netflix. This week the new additions include a new docu-series on a murder trial that is in the news right now, a new season of a fan-favorite Netflix Original, and a new Netflix movie.

If you’ve been watching the news lately, you’ve likely seen something about the Murdaugh murder trial. Well, now Netflix has a documentary on the family and the murder of the wife and son. Murdaugh Murders: A Souther Scandal comes to Netflix on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023.

The docu-series follows the Murdaugh family, how they abused their wealth and privilege, how the murders happened, and who is accused of them.

Outer Banks, We Have A Ghost, and more added to Netflix this week

If you’re an Outer Banks fan, your time is finally here again! Outer Banks season 3 hits Netflix on Thursday, Feb. 23. The last time we saw the Pogues they were stranded on a deserted island and Carla was on her way to meet John B’s dad who we thought was dead. It was quite a surprise. John B’s dad also agreed to help track down the Shroud of Turin if Carla helped rescue John B and his friends.

While the island seems great at first, this is Outer Banks. Nothing is easy. And there is always bound to be another treasure hunt and lives will be a stake. Additionally, John B is going to be reuniting with his long-lost father. It will be a must-watch moment.

We Have A Ghost starring David Harbour, Jennifer Coolidge, Tig Notaro, Anthony Mackie, Faith Ford, Jahi Di’Allo Winston, and Niles Fitch hits Netflix on Friday, Feb. 24. The adventure-comedy follows Kevin’s (played by  Jahi Di’Allo Winston) family as they discover a ghost in their new home. And when they take a video of it, it becomes viral immediately.

The ghost is named Ernest and Kevin decides that he wants to discover his past. But when he starts to dig up Ernest’s history, he becomes a target of the CIA. Yikes!
