OBX: 3 things we DON’T want to see when Outer Banks season 3 premieres

Outer Banks season 3 premieres on Netflix in February 2023, and the new season will have to follow in the footsteps in one of the most action-packed seasons of television ever. The Pogues went through so much in season 2, and season 3 will surely be another wild ride.

But with the continuation of the story, which leaves the Pogues trapped on Poguelandia and seemingly back at square one in their treasure hunt, comes the potential for plot mistakes we’d rather not see. Could these three worst-case scenario twists happen in OBX3?

Here’s a short list of the three storylines we definitely DON’T want to see in Outer Banks season 3.

Will John B and Sarah break up in Outer Banks season 3?

John B and Sarah are the central couple in Outer Banks, and we don’t want to see them break up. Protect John B and Sarah at all costs! Although off-screen events involving Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline’s personal lives could change their on-screen relationship, we hope not.

But beyond art potentially imitating life, John B and Sarah will have been through A LOT when we meet back up with them in season 3. Spending all of your time together on an island will put a strain on any relationship. Let’s hope Poguelandia makes them stronger!

Will Sarah forgive Ward in Outer Banks season 3?

Outer Banks fans could be theorizing about the potential of Sarah forgiving her father after he nearly strangles her to death in the season 2 finale. For as awful as a person as Ward is through and through, his daughter has a truly kind and forgiving heart.

However, Sarah… Don’t even think about feeling guilty about cutting off and having the illest of will toward Ward! OBX fans simply don’t want to see Ward Cameron get redemption even for a millisecond. If anything, Sarah needs to get closure and make peace with cutting ties with him.

Will JJ and Kie finally get together in Outer Banks season 3?

The big event Outer Banks shippers are waiting to see in season 3? JJ and Kiara getting together! On the run-up to the season premiere, Jiara fans have been buzzing about the exciting teases for their arc in the latest episodes, and it seems extremely promising.

Even though Kie began the series with a crush on John B and then had an awkward moment (to say the least) with Pope in season 2, you can’t deny that JJ and Kie have chemistry. We don’t want to see that chemistry denied and unexplored in season 3. Jiara or bust!
