Are Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes back together? New rumor explained

It’s been a tough year for celebrity breakups, and Netflix fans were particularly heartbroken when word came out that Outer Banks stars Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes had called it quits. The two portray Sarah Cameron and John B, respectively, on the TV show, two characters who fall in love in season 1 despite their different backgrounds.

Outer Banks absolutely blew up when it debuted in 2020, and fans were obsessed with the fact that Cline and Stokes were also dating in real life. They were definitely an “it” couple at the time, so that’s why it was so hard to hear of their split. Well, according to a new rumor, it’s possible the pair have reconciled!

Are Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes dating?

According to an Instagram Story from the celebrity gossip account @deuxmoi, not only were Stokes and Cline spotted out together recently, but the two are also apparently dating once again. Someone sent in an anonymous tip to the account, saying the Outer Banks stars were seen together in Atlanta, Georgia. They asked if they were back together, and the account reposted the submission, writing, “Yes, they are back on.”

Of course, we have to take this with a grain of salt. Though @deuxmoi’s claims have certainly turned out true in the past — just look at You stars Victoria Pedretti and Dylan Arnold — unless Stokes and Cline confirm their reconciliation, we don’t actually know what their relationship status is.

However, we do have photo evidence that the two actors were hanging out in Atlanta. A fan shared a picture to Twitter on Nov. 28, which you can see here. There’s also a video going around of them hanging out behind a DJ booth. Check out this TikTok video analyzing the latest rumor.

The Outer Banks actors first went Instagram official in June 2020, about two months after the Netflix series debuted. As far as we know, they were going strong up until recently, with People Magazine confirming their breakup on Nov. 1, 2021.

As fans wait for any news about a potential Outer Banks season 3, the possibility of Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes getting back together is super exciting. Fingers crossed it’s true!
